Since upgrading to EPrints 3.2.4 we’ve noticed some strange behaviour with the EPrints search (which doesn’t appear to be localised to just our own repository).

There looks to be an error using multiple words in a field (such as “climate change” in the title) combined with a second search parameter (such as “2008” in published date) when retrieved records fulfil is set to “any of these conditions”.

Performing this search, I would expect the use of “any of these conditions” to return all 2008 publication (of which there are numerous) plus all papers with climate and change in the title, but the search returns 0 results. Strangely, if the query is repeated but a single term is searched for in the title such as “climate”, 1500+ results are returned.
